How to Treat the Stomach Virus

 

The stomach flu can make a person very sick and make them feel miserable. Since the stomach flu is a virus it is very hard to cure it. There are some treatments for stomach virus to help ease the discomfort and help it move through the system faster.
Ginger
Ginger has anti inflammatory properties and has antiviral properties that can help as well. Take a teaspoon of chopped ginger and steep it in hot water for 10 minutes. Stain the tea. Drink this several times a day to feel better. A little bit of honey can be added for flavor as well.
Peppermint
This is a common treatment for the stomach virus. It has antispasmodic properties that can help with cramping and feelings of floating. Take some dried peppermint leaves and put them in boiling water. Allow it to set for 10 minutes, strain, and cool. Within two to three days of drinking this a person will be feeling better.
These are some ways to treat the stomach virus. While there is no magic cure these treatments can help a person feel better.
